I am often asked if we welcome idea of people adopting multiple kittens. I always wonder why would people think it is NOT a good idea? Personally I never had just ONE cat. Once, when one of our cats died, the second one was so sad, I almost cried. It was so lonely we really worried about him!
Some owners prefer to get just one at a time and wait until there is a good time to get another one. Many people also like to try and see what Ragdolls are, and than later they know exactly what they want! Even more often we hear stories like – o, my husband does not want to have 2 cats! just to see the family in half a year lead by a husband to purchase another one.
Often we hear that two males is not a good idea… Well I tell you, all 3 of my males, and we are talking whole tom cats, are living together, and your kittens are their direct descendants!
We have many owners which come back and many which prefer to purchase two siblings. Often we are asked if two kittens of the same sex is a good idea or it is better to have two opposite sexes. We had families which purchased two identical pattern/color kittens – actually we had multiple of those – we have Desmond and Molly, both blue bi-colors, living together, as well as blue mitteds Duke and Daisy living together.
We also adopted multiple retired breeders to homes with resident cats with no problems! It all depends on personality and the introductions – mainly how slow you introduce them. Below are some pictures of our kitties which live together.
